Art Coviello Joins Our Board of Directors

We are excited to announce the newest member of the Bugcrowd Board of Directors, industry icon and veteran driver of cybersecurity innovation, Art Coviello Jr.

Bugcrowd’s view has always been that the economic and resourcing model of the bug bounty programs pioneered by Netscape, Google and Facebook is more that just the “latest and greatest tech-company fad.” It’s a necessary and inevitable evolution in security assessment, and it’s benefits will impact the entire IT ecosystem.

Our singular focus as a company is to operationalize and deliver crowdsourced security across all verticals, from fast-moving technology right through to the more traditional financial, healthcare and government organizations. With this in mind, we’re very pleased to announce that Art is joining Bugcrowd’s Board of Directors.

Art is an acclaimed and well recognized leader in the cybersecurity industry, with extensive experience delivering solutions across all of these verticals and a reputation for “getting stuff done.” During his stint at RSA starting in 1995, Coviello was a driving force for the rapid financial growth of the company, as well as strengthening its position in the e-security market through many strategic acquisitions and partnerships. Coviello served as CEO prior to their acquisition by EMC, after which he was the Executive Chairman of RSA and Executive VP of EMC. He also has played a key role in many cyber-security initiatives and government agencies such as the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA), and the National Cyber Security Summit’s Corporate Governance Task Force to name a few.

Most recently, after stepping down from his position at RSA, Coviello became a Venture Partner at Rally Ventures where he works with the Rally team to help source and evaluate investment opportunities with a focus on enterprise security companies. Art crossed paths with us after joining the Rally Ventures team, and since then, we’ve had the pleasure of working closely with him.

He has joined our Board of Directors to support our endeavors in strengthening the security community as we evolve and grow as a company. I’m excited that we’re not only gaining the breadth and depth of his of experience in the security world, but access to industry insights from a passionate and innovative man. We are thrilled to have Art on our team and look forward to continue to see the our model adopted across all industries.
