It is time for the August 2015 Hall of Fame, our first month running with the new kudos points award model. Big recognition goes to harie_cool, who has topped the monthly leaderboard 2 months straight due to his solid string of P1 and P2 submissions.

In August we are awarding the 1st, 2nd, and 4th place researchers as Nahamsec is also an intern with Bugcrowd during the summer, making him ineligible for a performance bonus. The fourth place researcher is definitely deserving of an award though, coming in just 2 points behind Nahamsec with a significant number of P2 and P3 submissions.

To thank these individuals for their hard work, Bugcrowd is pleased to announce the following researchers will receive August 2015 performance bonuses:

1. harie_cool – 384 points – $2,500 bonus

2. Mico – 274 points – $1,500 bonus

4. Vishnu_Vardhan_Reddy – 240 points – $1,000 bonus

How does a researcher earn Kudos points? High severity bugs that result in critical security impact like remote code execution or elevation of privilege earn the most points – check out our blog for a points and priority break down and read more discussion about why an IDOR can be anywhere from a P1 to a P3 on the Bugcrowd Forum. Submitting high severity bugs not only gets you bigger rewards, it can also help you get invited to private bounty programs faster.
