In December 2022, Axis partnered with Bugcrowd to launch a private bug bounty program, focused on AXIS OS. The program operates on a clear, transparent model: hackers identify vulnerabilities, Axis validates and patches them, and Axis then discloses them externally. Rewards are severity-based, using the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) as the benchmark.

Netwrix decided to run a Managed Bug Bounty engagement with Bugcrowd via Amazon Web Services (AWS). Bugcrowd gave Netwrix the ability to connect with actual ethical hackers who can perform the same types of attacks that they’d run into in a real data breach scenario. AWS provided additional strength, stability, and scalability.

This platform connects external developers with Atlassian customers, allowing them to purchase third-party apps that extend the functionality of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence. Since its launch in 2012, Atlassian Marketplace has grown to host thousands of apps for 260,000+ users, generating over 4 billion dollars in lifetime revenue.

Catawiki found that Bugcrowd stood out as a leader in the crowdsourced and offensive security market. It ultimately chose Bugcrowd because it offers a well-unified bug bounty and pen testing platform—one place to do it all. Catawiki was excited by the prospect of using pen testing results to directly enhance the bug bounty program.

The public bug bounty program has not replaced any internal or external penetration testing schedules or private bug bounties. BigCommerce launched the new public bug bounty program to help evolve the company’s overall security measures.
