In the course of doing data validation in the final quarter of 2017, Bugcrowd engineers identified areas where submission data was not correctly updating. Because we value transparency, we have outlined the resolved changes below:

  • Duplicates no longer occasionally ignore inheriting data changes from the original submission when the change was made after the second submission was marked Duplicate of the original report. Changes made to the original report’s substateVRT categorizationCVSS scoretarget or priority now correctly match the updated information as on the original report.
  • A small number of non-duplicate submissions had received an incorrect (lower) kudos point value. We resolved this issue and contacted the affected Researchers prior to December’s leaderboard change.

No kudos points were removed or negatively adjusted,
