Integrations? In your Researcher profile? It’s more likely than you think…Introducing Portfolio Accounts

Bugcrowd now supports GitHub, StackOverflow and PentesterLab profile connections! Using the data from these external profiles, our platform gains an even stronger understanding of your skills, interests, and experiences outside of the platform. Combining this information with your platform successes, our CrowdMatch recommendation engine is able to provide better-tuned opportunity suggestions for you in the Just for You Discovery tab, getting you hacking on the right program faster!

To get started, go to your profile, select “Portfolio Accounts” and select “Connect an Account”. Click on the social profile you’d like to connect and “Allow Access” to your Bugcrowd profile.

Please note: Bugcrowd takes privacy of your information seriously. This integration only uses public information from social profile activity to recommend programs to you and display badges on your Researcher profile. Bugcrowd will never post anything on your behalf.

Security & Privacy Preferences

When we say that security and privacy are priority concerns, we really mean it! We’ve introduced two new tabs to Researcher Profiles: Security and Privacy. The new Security tab is the place where you can update your password, get full visibility into your sessions, setup two-factor authentication, and review important account security events to identify any suspicious activity on your account. The Privacy tab gives you control over the visibility of your researcher profile and Crowdstream activity settings.

2FA Backup Codes

Did you know 2FA backup codes are now available on your account? You can find more details in our recent blog: bugcrowd.com/blog/platform-update-2fa-backup-codes/

Our goal at Bugcrowd is to enable organizations to utilize the crowd as part of their security workflows, tooling, and systems. A huge part of that equation is to ensure that you – our Researchers – are successful on the Bugcrowd platform. If you have feedback or suggestions on these new features, please reach out to us at support@bugcrowd.com.
